Description
If you’re looking to put an exclamation point on your landscape look no further than the Graham Blandy, an upright growing Boxwood with a distinct, tight, columnar form. If left to grow naturally with no pruning, Graham Blandy might reach 15 feet tall and 18 to 24 inches wide over time, however can be maintained at 5 feet tall with occasional pruning at the top.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 12 to 15 feet tall (5 feet with occasional pruning) and 18 to 24 inches wide, the Dee Graham Blandy Boxwood is ideal for use as a vertical accent in the landscape. It is perfect for filling those narrow spaces where height is needed in foundation plantings or as a tight, narrow hedge where space is limited. Also very nice as a centerpiece in container gardens, just make sure the pot drains well. A fine addition to formal gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 15 to 18 inches apart for solid hedges; 4 feet or more apart for space between plants
Growing Preferences
The Graham Blandy Boxwood is exceptionally easy to grow when planted right and in the right spot. It adapts to most soil types, preferring a moist but well drained soil of average fertility. As with so many other plants, a constantly soggy or wet soil can be problematic. It prefers mostly sun but will tolerate some shade. In our gardens, we’ve found it to have exceptional drought, heat, disease and pest resistance. Responds well to pruning.

Dear Wilson Brothers,
Thank you for notifying me of the availability for Graham Blandy Box. They are a superior item in the
garden (7a & b). All they ask for is a little pruning, fertilizer in the spring and a little sun. Unfortunately,
the nurseries don’t feature them anymore and my purchase of a GB Boxwood two years ago was a wonderful
find.
Thanks Wilson Brothers——————————————————————————————–We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG

The boxwood was very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. I was so impressed. The tree appears very healthy. I am waiting until September to plant it since it is very hot here in NJ.. I was hoping it would be taller (more mature).——————————————We are glad you are pleased with your purchase! Sorry it wasn’t as large as expected, but it will take off as soon as it’s planted! Beth | WBG 🙂
